Spoilers: NONE
Well put.

All communication is welcome. But we already know these.

@khurram
It’s merely a starting point. This is not the final iteration, as more detail could be added, as well as the potential for more events in advanced.

In addition, the opt-in for Trial of Ambition is yet to be shown in-game. While more experienced players may already be able to anticipate future events, newer forum members looking for more information can rely on this to schedule their efforts.

Thank you @Brigby. This is useful information indeed!

@Brigby

I’m assuming those opt-in times are the deadlines, correct?

I think opt-in is when they allow us to join the event before it starts

I thought opt-in times were when they show up in the events page in game.

@Brigby

Any idea when the new event will be first run?

Trial of Strength: Runs for 72 hours.

Restricted Planeswalker: Gideon of the Trials

Top end rewards: Climb the leaderboards to win great prizes! The top five players in Platinum will win 300 Mana Jewels, 150 Mana Crystals and a Rare Amonkhet Card. In addition, each member in the top two coalitions will win 80 Mana Jewels, 120 Mana Crystals and a Rare Amonkhet Card. Check out the rewards in-game for full details!

Node Objectives:

Gideon of the Trials Node

  • Summon 3 or more creatures with Embalm
  • Lose 2 or more creatures during a single fight

Colorless Node

  • Summon 3 or more Zombies
  • Lose 5 or less creatures during a single fight

Colorless Node

  • Cycle 3 or more cards
  • Cast 4 or more spells during a single fight

@Brigby Do you happen to know what happened to the Planeswalker Arena? That was a fun event.

Sarcasm on:
If anything is bringing fun it should be removed asap. This is grind game it shouldn’t be fun.
Sarcasm off.

I’d like to play also other events (like terror in the shadows) - of course with non standard only cards.

*(5/31/17) Brigby - Updated formatting and event details for Training Grounds and Trial of the Planes

@Sarahschmara @Matthew @majincob
To my knowledge, the Opt-in Time is when the event appears in the Events page, with the “Starts in X,” and you are able to pre-join the event.

@sjechua
I unfortunately do not know when Trial of Strength will be run, as I currently do not see it on the schedule. I will pass that inquiry along to the developers though!

@UweTellkampf
Good question. I will also pass that along!

Oh wow… now this is weird. To quote you:

  • Silver: 35 Mana Crystals + 300 Mana Runes + 1 Booster
  • Bronze: 30 Mana Crystals + 550 Mana Runes + 1 Booster
    So wait.. For bronze you get 250 more mana runes and 5 mana crystals less? What sorcery is that?!

Hi Everyone. I’m still waiting on confirmation for the rewards, however I do have some information to communicate about the upcoming Trial of Zeal event.

Recharge timers will be set to 4 hours instead of 8. This was previously a bug, and was fixed in the 2.1.2 update. In addition, the 850 max progression ribbon will be reduced to 750 ribbons.

@Tilwin90
Yes, Bronze does get more Mana Runes, however they need to reach 15 ribbons to acquire the 550 Mana Runes, whereas Silver only needs to reach 5 ribbons to acquire all 300.

will each node hold more charges now that they
recharge twice as fast?

HH

If the recharge times are getting reduced than make it so that each node can hold 10 charges.
Seriously, battles on the tougher bosses take up a long time. We’d rather the timers were 8 hours.

Someone please tell them that any complaints of boredom are because people want novelty, not frequency. Hopefully node capacity will be increased, as the four-hour day was brutal. Changing it to 8 was a godsend.

The reason we wanted the 8 hour timers was to prevent people from missing out on charges since there was a restriction on how many charges a node could hold. Ideally a node should hold enough charges to allow someone to step away from the game for 24 hours. We really do not want to go back to the days of missing charges due to real life commitments.

@Brigby That can’t be right, please tell me there was a mistake. 8-hour recharge was one of the best quality-of-life changes (with the nodes not starting at full).

Let’s take a normal day, you sleep for 8 hours, then you wake up, shower, go to the bathroom, eat breakfast, etc. and then go work an 8-hour shift. That’s 16+ continuous hours, with 4-hour recharges, our nodes would be maxed out. Where exactly are we supposed to find the time to play those nodes? The 3.x bosses can have up to 500 HP, it takes a lot of time to beat.

I’ve heard you guys needed whales to sustain this game, how exactly are those whales, or any players really, supposed to find the time to work, live their normal life, AND play your game?

@hawkyh1 @khurram @DuskPaladin
It also will be lowered to 750 ribbons instead of 850, and with double the changes[sic] to attempt the encounters should be much more attainable.
(Disclaimer: I am optimistically under the assumption that the word changes is supposed to say charges)

8 hours was far more preferable and received mostly positive feedback. Are you actually trying to take any good changes and throw them back in our faces?

It’s like you read the feedback (event is too drawn out, progression is too hefty a target) and heard “We want more battles”. Genuinely in awe at the ability to creatively interpret feedback.

The word covfefe makes more sense than this.
