I think that’s a reasonable point at the heart of this, which is that people who are unhappy at losing rewards they ordinarily would have earned through no fault of their own, should not feel let down. If this has been drafted alongside a numbers of top players, I don’t think the sentiment is uncommon.
I feel blanket rewards for people is a little heavy and perhaps a selection of those based on previous seasons’ standings might be a kind and fair thing to do.
Retired players presumably didn’t update to R345 do can go in and easily win those things anyway so are due no compensation.
Normally I’m pretty skeptical of compensation for downtime (if nobody can play, then nobody is getting rewards, so nobody deserves compensation) but it seems like this isn’t the case here. If some people can still play and some people can’t, they absolutely need to compensate the people who can’t play, with all the stuff that the others have gotten during that window.
The best thing to do here would just be to lockout everyone until the new version can be pushed, but I don’t think they’ll do that.
I earn at least 10-15 LL tokens per day and just renewed VIP, never mind all of the progression rewards I’m missing. I certainly hope the DEVs plan on doing something massive in the way of in-game compensation. This is pure inanity. Do they not have any QA at all?
I don’t see how that can’t be clever. My suggestions for free content (and not rewards, because we don’t deserve to bust our butta to get double or triple of anything), are for the content that already exist in the game, for years. Granted, everyone’s needs are different. For some elite players who have everything, card packs, supports, shards don’t mean anything. And I don’t see how gamers who retired, that aren’t paying attention to our community, are going to find their way back. It’s like an old ex, been there done that.
But how about a fresh idea. How about they invent some new supports that doesn’t exist. Like X-Men mansion, or Justin Hammer Tech, that can be used either as a free grab in place of other potential rewards. Or give us something meaningful that does exist, and create new supports that can give up some of those attribute bumps exclusively for PVE (like Aunt May). And those new supports can be something worth paying money for.
It’s a hard sell to offer cards like 5 star Scorpion, that suck, for sale. And those cards can be earned naturally in other ways. But something that’s hard to come by, like Storm’s Hellfire Gala '21 outfit, or maybe bring in X-Men '97 4* Morph, where we can customize his look. A create-a-character option (exclusively to PVE, for example). Just some out the box thinking that shows the community that their money, their time, their sacrifices are worth something.
I’m a former game developer myself, worked for Tom Clancy games, and have multiple degrees to boot. I’ve even offered my services to IP2, and Broken Circle. I’ll work for free. The devs talked about a sandbox option to test builds, but can’t. What if they had a separate game, that functioned as ‘early access’ for select gamers to interact with and help identify problems before they became a world wide issue. I’m sure some of us would be happy to test builds for free, just to have a pleasant experience with the main build. Beta testing, if you will. I don’t know. I’m trying to be part of the solution, instead of complaining about spilled milk.
I fully support the compensation guide and I want to add that full compensation to the players who are not able to play and partial compensation to those who are able to play right now.
You know who I feel bad for? My wife. Which is why I am being selective on what I say on the forums, in case she reads it. For me, I don’t mind the grind. It’s a part of my life now. But for her she is just starting out, only a few months in. She has cards like Headpool, that are going to expire in two days. And I’m teaching her to be selective who she rosters, and is building beautifully. Better than when I started many many years ago. For her to have to lose these 2 star and 3 star cards in her que, is much more devastating than my impact. Sure, I’m losing sleep. But I got her into this game, and I feel like I’ve indirectly put her into a stressful situation that she doesn’t deserve. Technically none of us deserve this. The kind of rewards that some of us are suggesting (while all great ideas) doesn’t really benefit a newer player like her who only has like 40 cards in their roster. She isn’t opening any packs, or using command points. It’s a very controlled system. And her not playing isn’t as serious as it is for me. What I didn’t account for in last night’s hysteria was her card que. I’m ok for at least 13 days. Her, not so fortunate.
I can currently still play because my phone hasn’t updated yet. Guessing I got lucky since 346 went live in middle of the night and got pulled before my phone updated.
Incidentally for those of us in android, they could put the 346 update on their website and we could manually install it. Takes a bit of tech knowledge but its very doable. Would let us early test the fix too to make sure nothing else went wrong.

P.S. Just did more 10 pvp battles in Doops event to finish the daily quest. 720 points and T10 with 14 hrs to go. Ill update you on how many hits I take since I’m not shielded. Will give an idea of how many can currently play.
Yikes, never mind touching some grass, you clearly need to touch some ass!
If you’re genuinely this fanatical about the game, maybe a little bit of downtime will do you some good? Maybe it’s the world telling you to enjoy your honeymoon for what it is. Try not to be furious that not being able to play a phone game has ruined your honeymoon. I don’t imagine being in a mood is going to do you many favours with your other half
Jumping to conclusions here, buddy! My wife just the other day invited me upstairs for some “bedroom activities” and it turned out she just wanted me to change the duvet cover.
