Spider-Man: Brand New Day Takes Over MARVEL Puzzle Quest!

Celebrate Spider-Man: Brand New Day in MPQ as Spider-Man and some of his most dangerous enemies take center stage.

Whether you fight alongside the neighborhood’s greatest heroes or its most notorious villains, there will be plenty to discover during the Spider-Man: Brand New Day takeover, including new characters, special vaults, costumes, and the long awaited return of a popular game feature.

Here’s what you need to know!

New Characters

5-Star Scorpion (Brand New Day) arrives on July 22, bringing one of Spider-Man’s most dangerous foes into the fight with a venomous edge and a serious score to settle.

4-Star Boomerang (Frederick Myers) makes his MPQ debut on August 5, armed with specialized trick boomerangs and an unpredictable fighting style that keeps enemies guessing.

Brand New Day Costume

5-Star Spider-Man (Peter Parker) is dressed for the occasion with a fresh new look inspired by Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Unlock the new Brand New Day Costume and suit up to face Scorpion, Boomerang, and some of the web slinger’s most infamous enemies.

Daily Play Tokens Are Back

Daily Play Tokens are returning to MARVEL Puzzle Quest, making it easier than ever to earn rewards just by playing! Throughout the celebration, players can earn one free token each day by winning a mission in any PVE, PVP, or Campaign mission with an eligible member on your team.

Special Vaults

Two special nonresettable vaults are waiting for your tokens, depending on which side you choose.

If villains and chaos are more your style, use an affiliated Spider-Foe nemesis to earn tokens for the With Great Power… Villains Vault.

Ah Boomerang, so infamous that I’ve never heard of him…

And I say that as a huge fan of the 90s spiderman cartoon

Boomerang has always been basically a joke of a villain. He has…boomerangs! Some do things like make loud noises or blow up! Some are really sharp! and some boot jets!

That’s about it.

There was an excellent series called The Superior Foes of Spider-Man, mostly played for humor, where he leads a team of other low tier foes.

I suppose it’d be funny if the MPQ Boomerang is really good. I guess we’ll find out.

I can’t seem to earn tokens for the Great Responsibility Hero Vault. All tokens are going to the With Great Power Vault. Gonna use a friendly for my daily play today and see what happens, yesterday I used Chasm. Also, the Great Responsibility vault isn’t even showing. Will it appear once I earn a token for it?

I assume the plan is that the Great Responsibility vault opens after the current one closes in 2 weeks. And that the tokens for that vault will start then as well.

Would be nice if the spider quests would disappear after completing. Kind of annoying having to scroll down the 19 quests just to see what the season pass quest for the 24 day one is.

Today’s daily required 100 tiles removed with Iron Man. First of all, I completed it without Iron Man. Secondly he’s a technologist from last season. There was no change to the text from last season’s quests, but the requirements were updated behind the scenes.. That’s such an easy Q&A pass…

This is showing in game as a Main Event Hulk PvP.

Placement rewards for Main Event Hulk PVP include Vulture (Adrian Toomes), who is out-of-rotation in the 4* rewards cycle. This typically means he will be the next featured PVP.

If so, then 3* Vulture is a typo for the 4* version on July 29th which is the Junkyard Wars event.
