"Nicol Bolas controls Ravnica. His army of Eternals run free and the guilds have descended into chaos. Now only the combined power of the Planeswalkers stands between Bolas and total dominance over the Multiverse. It’s an all-out war.

Only members of a coalition can join this event. Get to the top of the leaderboards and receive the best rewards!

Special Rules: The four nodes have three thematic encounters and a special rule each.

Eternal Invasion****Loyalty Abilities

  • Invade The City (9) - Amass X, where X is the number of spells in your graveyard, up to 9.

  • Widespread Brutality (12) - Amass 1. Then, deal X damage to each non-Army creature, where X is equal to your first Army’s power.

Spark Reaper****Loyalty Abilities

  • No Escape (6) - Your opponent can’t activate Loyalty abilities or Vanguard abilities until the beginning of your next turn.

  • Ravnica At War (15) - Destroy all nontoken creatures and supports.

Liliana, Dreadhorde General****Loyalty Abilities

  • Command The Eternals (9) - Create a Feast on Suffering token. Amass 3.

  • Feast on Suffering: (Black) Support Card - Enchantment (3) Whenever a creature or Vanguard support you control is destroyed, draw a card.- Necromantic Spark (15) - Destroy the first opposing creature. Your first reinforced creature loses a reinforcement.

  • Dreadhorde’s Will (21) - Destroy the first and last opposing creatures. Then, Amass 2 for each of those creatures’ reinforcements.

Widespread Chaos****Loyalty Abilities

  • Anarchy (9) - Destroy a block of 5x5 gems. Your opponent’s first creature can’t block this turn.

  • Massacre (9) - All creatures get -3/-3 until end of turn and gain “if this creature would die this turn, exile it instead.”

  • Rampage (9) - Each creature you control gets +3/+3, Trample and Berserker until the end of your turn.

  • Reward: 200 Mana Runes, +15 Personal Score, +15 Coalition Score- Striker

  • Deal 15 or more damage during a single turn.

Vindictive Encounter****Loyalty Abilities

  • Blood And Stone (6) - The first creature you control gets +2/+0 and gains Double Strike until the beginning of your next turn. The last creature you control gets +2/+0 and gains Lifelink until the beginning of your opponent’s next turn.

  • Madness And Treason (12) - Gain control of target creature that costs 13 or less until end of turn. It gains Haste and “This creature is destroyed at end of turn”.

  • Single Combat (15) - Pick one creature you control and one creature your opponent controls then Destroy every other creature on the battlefield.

Breach of New Pravh****Loyalty Abilities

  • Arbiter’s Veto (6) - Drain all mana from the first noncreature card in your opponent’s hand. Create 4 Thopter tokens.

  • Thopter: (Colorless) Creature - Thopter Construct Artifact (1/1) Flying, Token- Elite Enforcer (9) - Disable each creature your opponent controls until the beginning of your next turns.

  • Network of Control (12) - Draw 3 cards. Gain 4 mana for each creature and creature reinforcements you control.

Aim for the Sky****Loyalty Abilities

  • Lazotep Defenses (6) - If you don’t control a creature with Prevent Damage, create a Lazotep Plated Zombie Token.

  • Lazotep Plated Zombie: (Blue, Black) Creature - Zombie Warrior (4/5) Token, Defender, Prevent Damage, First Strike- Forced Landing (6) - Target opposing creature with Flying gets -6/-0 and loses Flying until the beginning of your next turn.

  • Aerial Combat (12) - Fetch the first creature with Flying from your library. It gains full mana.

  • Reward: 200 Mana Runes, +30 Personal Score, +30 Coalition Score- Skyborn

In Vitu-Ghazi’s Wake****Loyalty Abilities

  • Topple The Statue (3) - If you don’t control a support named Topple the Statue, create a Topple the Statue Token.

  • Topple the Statue: (Green) Support Card (Indestructible) At the end of each turn, if there are 15 or more creature tokens or creature tokens reinforcements on the battlefield, destroy all non-Elemental creatures and all the gems. Then, deal 30 damage to your opponent’s Planeswalker.- Nature’s Army (9) - Create 4 Forest Tokens. Convert 6 gems to Green.

  • Forest: (Green) Creature - Forest Elemental Land (1/1) Haste- Blooming Resistance (12) - All token creatures get +1/+1 for each of their reinforcements until the beginning of your next turn.

The God-Eternals****Loyalty Abilities

  • Solidarity and Strength (12) - Create a Zombie Warrior token. Double the power of each creature you control until end of turn.

  • Zombie Warrior: (Black) Creature - Zombie Warrior (4/4) Token, Vigilance- Ambition and Knowledge (12) - Copy the first spell in your hand. It gains full mana. Return the first creature from your graveyard to the battlefield.

  • Trial of Eternity (15) - Deal 6 damage to target creature your opponent controls and you gain 6 life. The cost of the first card in your opponent’s hand is increased by 6. Amass 6.

Storm the Citadel****Loyalty Abilities

  • Ravnica’s Battlegrounds (3) - If you don’t control a support named Ravnica’s Battlegrounds, create a Ravnica Battlegrounds Token.

  • Ravnica’s Battlegrounds: (Colorless) Support Card - Land (8) Whenever a creature deals combat damage to an opponent, destroy a non-Land non-Vanguard support that player controls.- Countdown (6) - If you don’t control a support named Blast Zone, create a copy of Blast Zone on the board under your control.

  • Blast Zone: (Colorless) Support Card - Land (3) At the beginning of your turn, gain 2 mana. Activate 3: Drains 2 mana from your hand, then this support gains 3 shield. When this support is reinforced, destroy each creature and support that costs less than the amount of shield on this support.- Open War (9) - Each creature token and support token your opponent controls is Destroyed.

The Elderspell****Loyalty Abilities

  • Dark Ritual (9) - Draw a card. The first card in your hand gains full mana.

  • The Elderspell (12) - Destroy all opposing Vanguard supports on the board. For each support destroyed this way, your Vanguard support with the highest shield gains 2 shield.

  • Soul Reap (18) - Destroy each creature your opponent controls. Your opponent loses 2 life for each creature and creature reinforcement destroyed this way.

  • Deal 20 or more damage to an opponent’s Planeswalker during a single turn.

Nicol Bolas, Dragon-God****Loyalty Abilities

  • Spark Gatherer (9) - Draw a card.

  • Dragon-God’s Scorn (12) - Destroy an opposing Vanguard support.

  • Ascension to Godhood (21) - Deal 30 damage to your opponent’s Planeswalker. Then, destroy all your Legendary cards and deal 5 damage to your opponent’s Planeswalker for each card destroyed this way.

    Seriously, what is this crap? 8 creature tokens and win in 8? I understand that using loyalty or a vanguard can get you a whole 1 token but really?

I assume that the biggest challenge here will be winning the fight before the 8 tokens are summoned, but there has been a serious focus on tokens lately and summoning 8 should not be an issue.

Edited to add: This level of opponent is likely to have about 45 HP

@Brigby I just noticed it says “8 turns” instead of something like “Win the fight in 6 rounds” like in BotFT Part 1. With all the other cards and PW abilities “turns” are equating to a single player turn and this would mean that its 4 rounds to meet the object which defiantly seems short. Can we get some clarification (or a fix if needed) on that before it runs?

Good question! I’ve passed that inquiry along to our QA team, and they’ll be sure to investigate what its intended behavior should, and whether it’s behaving correctly or not. I’ll be sure to inform everyone of the results, once I get an update.

Update: Looks like my information might’ve been a bit outdated. It does say “8 rounds” now for the Speed objective.

@Brigby Are the Platinum rewards correct?

I noticed the 300 point reward is listed as 40 Jewels while all other tiers are listed as crystals.

After clearing a node, the in-game node recharge time appears to be 6 hours instead of 8 hours. Which of the two is intended for this event?

Bolas fight 4.3 is ridiculous.

None of the fights have been fun…but the Bolas one is a tonne of work…

This is really starting to piss me off. All three attempts on the first fight of the second node have shut the game down entirely after a Walker ability is triggered. The other nodes have done it sporadically as well. Doesn’t make much sense to crank the reward requirements up if the fights can’t even be finished…

Yes, game crashes here with me too. I remember one crash with Domri 2.1, you’re right!

Equally frustrating - is Mowu bugged in 3.2? Twice now he’s gone into an infinite-buff loop on me. It seems like a bug because he keeps growing after the opponent’s turn is over, and does increasing damage on each defense when multiple creatures get blocked in one combat.
