There are 11853 possible teams for the Simulator

25 characters without a distinct alt. I left out Gold variations as insufficiently distinct – Captain America, Human Torch, Thor
12 characters from (Storm, Magneto, Daken, Iron Man, Hawkeye, Spiderman, who each have 1 distinct alt).
6 characters from (Wolverine and Black Widow who each have 2 distinct alts).

2300 = (25 choose 3)
5400 = (25 choose 2) x (12+6)
3525 = (choose 2 from the (12+6) without repeat) x 25
628 = (choose 3 from the (12+6) without repeat)

2300 + 5400 + 3525 + 628 = 11853 possible teams.

I’m pondering doing a Monte Carlo simulation of all the possible teams fighting each other, to see if any weird teams surface. Toss in goons and a lot more teams are possible.

Maybe I didn’t follow your math correctly, but don’t you have to account for the the fact that “12” each have 2 choices, and the “6” each have 3 choices? Making it:

(25 choose 2) x (122+63) = 12600

possibilities for that line? (And likewise for the other lines?)

An all Widow-team was done before. I don’t remember an all-Wolverine team.

possibilities for that line? (And likewise for the other lines?)

It’s 6 distinct characters with 2 forms = 12 and 2 characters with 3 forms = 6.
He’s counting each of the incarnations as a separate ‘character’.

Further, you can’t have an all wolverine team, as there’s only 2 characters, Wolverine + Daken. If only they added Sabretooth…

x-force, patch and a.wolvie would be three, no? I can’t see why they wouldn’t do that at some point if they had IW in a node. Scaled to level, xforce is the least scary of the trio.

I definitely remember a simulator node with all 3 widows. Back before true healing, my widow was of course locked out of it, and while it wasn’t hard, I remember having to alternate between that node and another where I could bring her to keep healing up. It was also a fairly pushover node once obw went down. ** widow was squishy, and *** widow took too long to get AP to hurt ya.
