It would actually to be cool if it was intentional. Even if you absolutely have to cut the Mythic rewards (which is misguided of you), leaving some events with Mythic rewards would satisfy many of us. There’s a huge difference between a few and none.
I mean.. they do still have Fat Pack code in the game, don’t they. I’m still sitting on one unopened Fat Pack from whenever they were still available.

I’m actually excited for this event now. Even if I don’t make top 5, it’s a mix of packs and a KLD rare, pretty cool.
When 30 of us tie with perfect scores and they randomly sort the players by some unknown method… how many people are going to be screaming for their mythics? I hope to be one of them =)
Yep rewards are awesome, but the tierbreak still broken. I wouldn’t be so excited. The chance of getting a good place is now random.
At least you are only fighting over probably getting a dupe mythic this time rather than one of the best cards in the game 
I wished I’d not be in platinum for the progression rewards..

On topic, I was wondering about this also. It would be great if this gets much higher participation than the recent events enough so they would be willing to do a nostalgic event with nostalgic rewards periodically. I know this would potentially cut into profits from players buying packs from limited sales, but as a player experience, big thumbs up.

yes, I’ve seen instances in BP plat rank where you were 50th but screen before it was showing that you are in 51st-100th bracket
logged the ticket with Customer Service Department this is beyond the joke
Did you get a mythic for the TiTS event @ohboy ?
It would be reasonable to expect that the old event was picked up directly and not adjusted for the new game state (therefore leaving stated rewards and delivered rewards to be what they were on previous occasions).
It is also reasonable that the event was updated to the new event approach (with updates to the stated rewards and delivered rewards).
It is unreasonable to leave stated rewards unchanged and then change the delivered rewards to be significantly less valuable than those advertised.
