And yes, heroic means ONLY use those characters. This is how Heroics work. As seen in Heroic boss events and on the official R342 post about Heroics by the Migz on this very forum.

Hereâs the gist:
- pick heroic or normal PER NODE.
- If normal, everything as you know it
- If heroic, increased node rewards (upgraded tokens, etc), but you can ONLY use Heroic allows characters. For PVP the upgrade is from dropping 1 and 2star covers to 2 and 3star covers.
If it really doesnât allow the boost list then that is a really crappy trade off in PVP. Play at a severe disadvantage for a chance at a slightly higher star level cover randomly dropping maybe after a pvp battle.
Why would any one do that? Why would they spend time developing a mode like that?

And now you get the reason for my post 
but.. since we get all info piecemeal and incomplete.. maybe thereâs a SECOND boost list and all X-Men are boosted for Heroic? Would be weird to have an actual regular boost list if they boost that many extra characters? But how big will the boost then be? Like Heroic Bosses and barely a few levels? Or like normal and we have a choice of 30-40 boosted characters?
Will have to wait a few days for @TheMigz to tell us the rest of the details..

Not remotely worth it without boosted characters.
So far this is a giant waste of time imo.
Hopefully they are planning to boost them or no one will engage with it above like the earliest players who are slogging through everything anyway.
Absolute no-go for 550 MMR and scl10 PvE.

Agree , I think there should be more rewards in the strong nodes of the PVEs to make them worthwhile. maybe triple rewards tfor these nodes.

I wasnât planning to do slice 1 for this event but Iâve bitten to get a look at how heroic is working.
Iâve done heroic on most nodes, not 5E or challenge node and did normal for one of the normal nodes that didnât have a token in the rewards.
I have enjoyed it so far. Itâs been a bit of a grind going back to depending on Kitty or Polaris to boost strike tiles, although under normal circumstances they never would have been paired with Multiple Man. If theyâre planning 4 weeks of one X-Men boost list it could old quite fast, although 4 weeks should easily be long enough to ascend my Polaris (I currently have a 365 and a 280, donât ask) if I decided it was worth doing.
As far as PvE heroics are concerned I think itâs a positive having this against not having it. Worst case would be everyone ignores them and continues as normal. Donât think you desperately need massive take up on it, although that would obviously be gratifying. Iâm typically top 200 in a PvE and not troubling the top 100, so the timing doesnât matter massively for placement. Thereâs still a question of can I afford to spend 5, 10, maybe 20 minutes longer on a clear, tbc. However, at least initially itâs more fun to do the heroics so 20 minutes having fun vs 10 minutes just grinding it with Juggs is probably still a win.

well the way I played it, since my PVE playing style is purely for the rewards , in the 3, 5 star character required nodes I played it heroic the 4 star required node I played regular. the hardest node I played heroic. the easier to medium regular nodes I played heroic while the hardest regular node I played regular .
Reasoning are: the easy nodes have elite token rewards same for the mid complexity regular nodes. While the hardest regular node only had 2 CPs rewards nope not worth it. And the required nodes. the hardest node in the game played it heroic since I loved the legendary token and double the CPs but onlyi played it 3 times. the 4th reward a heroic token somply not worth it. Same for the 5 star one, 3 star also had elite token which I liked while the four star required only has a 2 CP reward not worth it.

Again a shame that Meet Rocket n Groot wasnât the first Heroic event. Meet RNG is one of the easiest ones to clear, but Cosmic Chaos is one of the harder PvEs. Itâs not all that easy with Sam and Juggs in the high 400s. Pretty sure I would not clear the 5E and CN on Heroic.

Wel I beat the 5E three times on Heroic which I am pretty pleased with but canât say this is a big incentive to play regularly on Heroic. I beat the CN once so far, good you get the Classic legend token first.

So we finally do have some answers, but itâs not looking too good for PvP.
The big problem here is that the boost list doesnât line up with the heroic roster. Iâm not sure why theyâd decide to do it this way.

Highly likely there wasnât a way to add a separate boost list when toggling who you can use.
If you think about the essential nodes they probably just have a slot that is marked to use the character and they boost them for the event etc.
So in this case they marked all team members must be X-Men affiliation. Every time they did heroic bosses the same people were boosted on both of them but you just had restricted selection on the Heroic one.
I hope Iâm wrong but this is not very well executed. And they may be hemmed in by the 13 year code etc and ability to work with it.

Also, the fights do not give double points. So if youâre competing in PvE, you basically canât use this at all â youâd be slower and not get any benefit from it.
