(PASSIVE) At the start of the turn, generate 6 rage and consume up to 1 Charged tile(s) on the board. For each Charged tile consumed, generate 1 rage.

​The Punisher draws on what he knows, and what he knows is traps. Deal 712 to the target enemy, stun the target for 1 turn(s). For every 16 rage, stun the enemy for an additional turn, up to 2 , and consume it on use.

For the purposes of this ability, Level Playing Field is considered unlocked.

(PASSIVE) If rage is equal to or greater than 17 , deal 487 to all enemies, and 797 damage to Franken-Castle.

The Blood stone lodged inside The Punishers chest pulstates with demonic energy, recharging and mending him.

(PASSIVE) at the start of the turn, Franken-Castle heals for 532 for every 5 rage.

Consume 1 rage for every Red, Purple, or Green tile matched.

For the purposes of this ability, Level Playing Field is considered unlocked.

Does Deceptive Trap’s passive process at the beginning of the turn?

I used to read these and try to post a quick evaluation, but lately the final product has been so different from the announcement that I think it makes sense to hold off until he’s in game.

Hopefully he’s fed by 4​:star: Punisher, so I’ll get a bunch of covers and test then.

What does this team know about cascade abilities that no one else does? Why does every new character have to state no AP or damage from cascades? Just strange… Luckily I dont think any of them actually cancel the AP gain they say they do?

Seems better then any other Punisher, but my brain won’t let me not point out that his thing is traps, that’s what he knows is TRAPS. Does it use trap tiles? Nah, why would it?

5,5,3 since his green almost gets worse as it goes to 5?

On deceptive trap I hope those greater than numbers are incorrect. Waiting for 48 rage even when generating 9 per turn will take a while especially when rage can be consumed for specific matches. I am thinking 5/3/5 lower the passive cost to 32. Let him tank and heal himself.

Overall with his first power not collecting AP on cascades and deceptive trap taking so long to activate he doesn’t feel super great. Even his healing is not that much at 5 covers. Interesting concept but needs a bit of a buff. I would have liked to see consuming rage do something for him like increase match damage in his highest colors

Lately they’ve been changing this stuff before release (and shortly after, too) a LOT. I wouldn’t put much stock into what they’ve posted here. We’ll see when he actually shows up in the game.

Maybe he’ll actually work somehow but this looks like more over-complicated design that most people won’t even want to figure out let alone use.

Finally, a 5Punisher! Albeit it’s Frankencastle, but I’m chuffed to have him. Now hopefully they make 4Punisher a primary and not secondary feeder. Also like the artwork as well.

Devs, if you’re reading this, please ignore or don’t listen to all the negative nancies, whether in this thread or the forums as whole. There are players like myself who appreciate what you’ve been doing. Sure, there are plenty of bugs. But the more level headed of us are aware you inherited an utter mess from the previous devs. Don’t let the toxic people get to you (although I’m not surprised that Migz hasn’t bothered to come back here. I’m expecting Jeto to eventually do likewise if all the h8ers keep jumping on his back the first chance they get. Well done forumites. Hope you’re proud of yourselves).

Not a power set that excites me, but I think Level Playing Field will be solid enough in practice with 12 tiles being destroyed by a 5* team - if they deal damage, that is.

It’s clear “consume” charge tiles means removing them, or it wouldn’t require a cascade clause, but unclear if you gain AP or they’re simply destroyed? If you do gain AP from them then he’s suddenly a nice battery with several characters.

I don’t know - in the worst case scenario of neither Level Playing Field effect actually dealing tile damage/“consuming” tile AP then he’s kind of pointless other than as a very soft counter to charged tile heroes, but likely a nuisance if over-levelled in PvE nodes.

I think he looks quite cool but for me personally I am probably going to have trouble tracking all the things going on with his powers and rage levels etc so will probably find him difficult to play (same as The Hunter, if I ever get her to do what I want it is probably just luck).

Not really sure what difference there would be between that and the 3 & 4 version we already have? At least they didn’t go with Angel Punisher from the 90s.

I am not sure what the expected IP2 process is for new feeders, but I did not receive anything for Frankencastle.

I think War, the last fed new release, had shards that came through overnight (for me) prior to the release event, which was the standard for the game for years.

Maybe the snafus with 341 and the pass and things led to a pause until 341.1 releases.

Im sure im not breaking confidentiality when I say the new frank is in the new season pass, does that mean he won’t have a feeder? I dunno, s0kun seems to be ignoring me of late, is it because hes busy or not impressed with my mod skills? Again dunno

What i do know for sure is @scofie clearly thinks hes better than me and has openly said it to all you good people.
