There have been a lot of new sound effects added to MPQ over the past year. Mostly I appreciate it, helps freshen up the game a bit. Other change have been less welcome, specifically the beeps and boops when you click on anything in the menus. But I don’t get why new sounds are never mentioned in the official updates? Is it considered too unimportant or something? For me, the sounds do play some small role in overall experience and enjoyment of the game, and I’d appreciate itemized lists of changes when they occur.

My guess is most people turn the sound off so it’s not an important thing that needs to be announced. So I have no idea that this has happened. Where are the new sounds?

There’s been a whole bunch of them. Just a few examples off the top of my head: The sound effects for 2* Thor and Ragnorok’s abilities all got updated at some point, Daken’s (Dark Avengers) blue ability makes a different sound that it used to, and it also makes a new sound when you match green tiles and he creates a strike tile; Kingpin’s (Wilson Fisk) yellow ability now plays a new laughing sound “Ha ha ha”. Many others too.
