Token Opening Time!

Ever since the announcement that 4* odds would go up at the start of Season 19 I’ve been saving all my tokens to open this afternoon. Even the standards, which aren’t getting an increase, because I prefer to open those in bunches anyway. And now that magical time is finally here! TOKEN PARTY! Let’s see how I do!

(Yes, I know it’s not clear whether the banked tokens are getting an odds increase. Still saved 'em, still opening 'em.)

…well. That was…something. So much for taking advantage of the boosted 4* rates. It did go out on a high note with possibly the best 3* cover in the game – shame I’ve already got IF maxed out.

I’m kind of surprised there hasn’t been a general thread on the increase. How much did the odds change?

Edit: I just opened a couple, got 2 moonstones and NOPE’d right out of the app.

4* increased by a whooping .1% for season 19

It went from 15 4* characters at .2% each (3-point-something percent total) to 17 at .3% each (five-point-something percent). So it’s a 50% boost, that’s not bad.

Odds are up from 3.45% to 4.6%. So each one went from .215625 (.2464 before Sam/Reed were added) to .2875. Rounding in game is fun.

They’ll read as 0.2% again when there are 19 characters available.

Edit: In the spirit of the thread, I opened my three Divine Champions tokens, 1250iso. I’m hoarding the rest until Iceman, I think.

I am pleased. Only needed the fourstars, but Hulkbuster has 12 covers now (5/5/2) so that’s nice. Kingpin has 5 purple and I am aiming for a 5/3/5 build, but I realized I can use him to generate yellow for boosted Luke Cage this week… She-Hulk is a nice third there.

Only problem is I am almost out on ISO.

ok, had 17 heroics and one from divine champs and had very good luck with this bunch. 18 tokens got me 6 3s and a 4:

opened about 6 season of tokens ended up about 2100 covers. i have pretty much all 3* covered right. 3* i got 132 and 4* 32 with only 2 being unused. and i can pretty much say that the odds of getting a 4* in standard is near impossible; i opened 1165 and didn’t get a single 4*. i’m dreading selling those covers in a couple of weeks, the iso spike might get me sandboxed.

Since I basically only need 4*s, that is more or less the expected rate of return.
