Just a note 3-star mags and 2-star bullseye are only buffed in pve and not in pvp so you might want to change that.
This seems like an another week of crappy buffed chars (for me). I don’t have 4hor, elektra or doom properly covered, gsbw sucks in defence, rags just plain sucks and Lokis abilities do not get anything from buff. I do have max leveled Psylocke but I’m not sure if I’m going to debase myself by playing her.
doc ock awards again? he was in last season, but hey, he he’s the 2nd lowest rated *** character in the game…wait… they think we don’t like him because we don’t play with him enough and if they force us to play with him we will like him more? dang. when was the last cage/fist/patch/Cyclops pvp event? really wish they would not repeat crap characters so often. I understood last season getting a bunch out of the way after ultron’s honeymoon period, but c’mon.
Even with the prospect of a boosted Ares looming, I am looking forward to seeing more variety among the 2* rosters. Spiderman & Ares don’t have a good trigger for Speed Shot, so I’m assuming there will be a lot more variety than the last few events where I can count on one hand the number of games which weren’t against Feature/2Daken/2Wolv. …and if people run Hawkeye anyway, it shouldn’t be a hard fight to win. We shall see…
Gods it’s slow playing against Spider-Man. Between the shields and the healing, this is the grindiest grind ever.
This one time, at band camp, I ended up with only my Spider-Man against the opponent’s Spider-Man. No offence. After about 20 minutes of almost but not quite denying yellow and blue and purple and suddenly facing a fully healed opponent, I just gave up.
I dunno, I played one of the longest matches I ever played in the falcon event. we both had cmags and the board was filled with buffed protects, but I was able to down their cmags first. that was a huuuuuge pain.
One of my alliance mates played through a Squirrel Girl vs Squirrel Girl match where both loaner SGs had dropped The Bigger They Are and every other character was downed.
Several hundred turns and one bottle of wine later, he won.
Tend to skip those protect tile showdowns if possible. Especially late in pvp. But no choice with this one.
Also will never again go up against invisible women with prof x. Playing hide and seek for half an hour is not my idea of fun when an event is just about to end.
Actually that would be nasty but Prof x was on my team and only Susan and the prof were left standing. Both teams had protect tiles, tons of Ap so each time they were uncovered they immediately recloaked.
Nearly retreated and probably would of have been better. Bit if a hollow victory losing placement an all.
For a universally panned character after his nerf, alot of people sure do complain alot when playing against him. I find this event to be almost completely opposite to the blade event. Instead of coming out of matches needing one or two health packs, I’m coming out of most matches with nearly full health.
The scoring change appears to be a good thing for me. It’s the second 4* cover that I earn in PvP.
Until now my experience is that 1000 is doable when I can fill some maxed characters that are also ‘flavor of the week’ (weekly buff). I am definitely less attacked around 800 when I can fill a 270/240 pair with the featured. Plus, it seems that I did my last push at a very convenient hour, maybe sleeping time for most of the American players? After one hour, only 4 attacks, I know that eventually I’ll be drowned under the attacks but still it’s not so fast.
Whatever, thanks to my opponents for these so needed points. Now I’m unshielded and it’s my turn to give back some points
Congrats! I pushed for 1000, but I ran out of time. If I started maybe an hour earlier or even 30min earlier I would have got it. I did 800 in an hour and ended at 800 and yet I still didn’t crack top 50.
Thanks, I wish you a better luck for the next time.
I’m in slice 3 so when I made my successful attempt there was still 16h to go before the end and usually I try to push even earlier with 24h to go. My bet is to avoid the crazy rush of the last hours and therefore climbing with a decreased probability of attacks. Doing so I make a choice between progression reward and ranking, of course, but I’m happy with that.
I got hit for over 200 points in the last 5 minutes, didnt care for dr. octopus prizes so didnt shield but i wonder if this is the norm now or was I in a death bracket. Top 10 were over 1500 points, top 5 over 2000!
