It’s reduced by 1 level, not AP reduction, which does make sense.
I think you may have gotten the wrong end of the ‘ol stick there Scofie. I think they’re saying the repeaters tick up when one is matched or destroyed, but they should tick down.
I don’t have an ascended purple man, so no way for me to check this. @entrailbucket surely does though?

I don’t know where to put this but I guess here makes sense. 3* Magik and Purple Man goes infinite pretty trivially. Magik purple makes black tiles/AP and Purple Man black makes purple tiles/AP. It’s an infinite loop, you can basically just cast them both over and over.
Throw in Toad as the third for tile charging and passive damage!

This works with Iron Fist instead of Magik too, but it’s a good time to do it with Purple Man boosted and Magik as an essential.
Purple Man can also launch you into Nightcrawler Bamfinite. Helpful to have Agatha as the 3rd there.
I’ve tried a few times to simulate this with Echo and M.O.D.O.K. Less successful. More jeopardy so more fun? Have 3a4 Carol take a hit to gather black and red to help them start off.

Just replying to myself to acknowledge that R341 seems to have corrected this issue. Maybe it was an R340 problem that had nothing to do with ascension.
I just finished 3
Mephisto, so now I have the entire 3 tier ascended to 5.
As a bonus, this means I’ve got EVERY character ascended to 5, except Spider-Horse! The “everybody to 550” agenda is, well, maybe not within reach, but certainly a bit closer than yesterday!

Eh. Play forever, compete, spend when it makes sense, and most importantly don’t hoard anything, and you can get there too.
I bet there are a few (or more than a few) out there who could get to the same goal right now, but all their covers are locked behind massive token hoards. I just open everything right away.
It’s also kind of a silly goal. But I’ve always wanted to max out everybody.
What’s fun about the game is there multiple ways to achieve. I am the opposite and hoard my CP like crazy and then spend when I feel like it. I open all my other tokens but never spend CP unless there is a good deal or if I want to get a specific 5* to 550.
It’s great this game can cater to different playstyles.

This power is insane.
Mine is only lvl502 unboosted, so it’ll go even higher! 2-turn CD tiles and random distribution make it a little weaker, but they hit so hard that it’s still very strong.
I do wish there was a CD tile buddy boosted with him. 5 Hawkeye here would be incredible, and so would Hobgoblin. Stomper actually makes a lot of CDs on his own if he tanks (the blue passive), so he might be a great combo piece on a bunch of fun teams!

I thought you knew how fun he was after they buffed him.
Coincidentally he is actually amazing with 1 star Hawkeye (who isnt i know), but throw Hydra green then endlessly destroy the board with Hawk and let the CDs rain in.
Currently using Myst as a 3rd because she starts pink for hawk and then stuns them with her endless pink while the CDs go off. Her blue also helps rain the tiles.
Yours is strong enough to just start green and end the match.

I didn’t even remember he got buffed!
I was looking for a way to resolve all the CDs right away, or at least fortify them so they last a bit. The power does work as a multi-cast, because he can only hit basic or enemy tiles, but the CDs are fragile.
I’m not sure if there is a turn0 combo that works, you’d need too much AP. But I think the Hobgoblin thing might work as something a bit slower. Maybe Hood? I guess GG yellow could do it too.
